I have a special interest in anxiety, depression, stress management, chronic pain, and managing medical problems. In working with patients, I routinely utilize meditation, relaxation techniques, and psychotherapeutic imagery. While many of my patients are adults, I also enjoy working with children (age 6 or older) to resolve feelings of anxiety, stress, and depression or who are struggling with issues related to giftedness. In addition to conducting general psychological assessments, I’m happy to assist couples in completing any required pre-adoptive assessment.
A Mindful Clinician & Researcher
As a native to Wisconsin, I received my bachelor’s degree (BS) in psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Kenosha in 1991. From there, I achieved my master’s degree (MS) and my doctorate degree (PhD) in clinical psychology from Marquette University. As part of my graduate training, I completed an APA-approved internship at the Ethan Allen School, which is a part of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
I’ve conducted research on the use of mindfulness meditation for stress reduction and well-being enhancement, and continue to integrate this approach into my clinical work. I’m an active member of the American Psychological Association and the Wisconsin Psychological Association. |
